Special perforation

6 kinds of design,
70 patterns

The catalog numbers these patterns and groups them only by the page they are printed on. Sorted by what the design does, they fall into six kinds, each suited to a different part of a building.

Selection by design

What each kind is,
and where it suits

Radial

8 patterns

Rays and rosettes worked out from a center point.

Best used Ceilings that are meant to be looked at: lobbies, reception areas, hotel public rooms and the head of a stair.

Radial patterns

Geometric

23 patterns

Diamonds, crosses and quartered fields built from straight edges.

Best used Large uninterrupted ceiling planes where a plain field would read as flat, which is most open-plan offices, retail floors, dining rooms and hotel public areas.

Geometric patterns

Framed

13 patterns

A perforated border around a solid center, or the reverse.

Best used Edge conditions: the perimeter row of a field, a change of level, the underside of a bulkhead, or the tiles that surround a light fitting or a diffuser.

Framed patterns

All-over

12 patterns

The pattern runs edge to edge with no reserved solid area.

Best used Rooms where absorption matters as much as the look: open offices, classrooms, restaurants and circulation.

All-over patterns

Embossed relief

9 patterns

Pressed into the panel face rather than punched through. No hole diameter is given for these.

Best used Ceilings that have to stay closed: clean areas, kitchens, wet areas, and anywhere dust or light from the plenum would be a problem.

Embossed relief patterns

Pressed panel

5 patterns

A relief pressed into the panel and then perforated within it. The catalog prints each of these twice, once perforated and once plain.

Best used Rooms where the acoustic requirement varies across one ceiling plane, and projects where a specifier wants one panel design approved for both conditions.

Panel sizes and hole options are read off the patterns in each group, so this table moves with the catalog rather than repeating it.

Sizes and hole diameters are in millimeters, as the catalog states them. Which pattern can be run on a given panel depends on the panel size and its edge detail, so confirm a pattern with us before it goes into a specification.
