Geometric 23 patterns

What it is

Diamonds, crosses, quartered fields, banded grids and checkers, all built from straight edges. This is the largest group in the range by a wide margin, and it carries three of the round hole sizes rather than one.

What it does

Because the figures are square and cross based, they meet at the panel joint. Laid as a field the design carries across the whole ceiling; rotated or mirrored it breaks into blocks. That is the practical difference from a radial pattern, which always stops at the edge of its own tile.

Where it is best used

Large uninterrupted ceiling planes where a plain field would read as flat, which is most open-plan offices, retail floors, dining rooms and hotel public areas. It is also the group to look at first when the pattern has to work at more than one panel size in the same building.

Special perforation is a face pattern, not a performance specification. The special sheet publishes no open-area figure for any of these. Where the acoustic number is what has to be met, work from the uniform range, which gives an open area for every pattern in it.
