Framed 13 patterns

What it is

A perforated border around a solid center, or a perforated field held inside a solid border. Some are punched and some are only pressed, so the group covers both an open panel with a frame line and a closed panel with the same drawing in relief.

What it does

It puts the holes where they are wanted and leaves the rest of the face solid. The frame line gives the panel a visible edge, which is why these read well as a perimeter or a transition rather than as a whole ceiling.

Where it is best used

Edge conditions: the perimeter row of a field, a change of level, the underside of a bulkhead, or the tiles that surround a light fitting or a diffuser. Two mountings are named across the group, lay in and combined ceiling, so check the one you need against the pattern.

Special perforation is a face pattern, not a performance specification. The special sheet publishes no open-area figure for any of these. Where the acoustic number is what has to be met, work from the uniform range, which gives an open area for every pattern in it.
